The Sanctuary of Our Lady of tal-Ħerba, tucked away in a narrow alley in the heart of Birkirkara, is known for its colourful interior and long-held traditions. One story tells of a man walking with crutches who hurried inside after hearing the chapel bell. As he entered, his crutches slipped from his hands and he found himself healed. Word of the event spread quickly, and the chapel soon became a place of pilgrimage.
