Ta' Santa Katerina tal-Belt Valletta
The Church of St Catherine of Alexandria (Il-Knisja ta’ Santa Katerina) was originally built in 1576 by the Italian Langue of the Knights Hospitaller. The present façade and porch date from 1713, following a reconstruction of the church. Its titular painting, by Mattia Preti, depicts the martyrdom of St Catherine of Alexandria. The church serves as the parish church of Malta’s Italian community.
