Ta' Bir Miftuħ
An outstanding church of significant architectural and historic importance on the edge of Gudja, Santa Marija ta’ Bir Miftuħ was one of the ten original parishes listed in 1436. Local lore says that, during an Ottoman raid, villagers and Knights hid the church’s treasures in the tombs beneath the stone floor. The church was extensively restored by, and entrusted to, Din l-Art Ħelwa.
